Plain English Summary

Prism is an affiliate marketplace. When you click a “Get Yours” or similar purchase link on Prism and make a purchase from a third-party retailer, Athletic Edge may receive a small commission from that retailer. You pay nothing extra. The price you pay is the same whether you click through Prism or visit the retailer directly. We disclose this relationship because the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requires it, and because honesty about how we make money is part of how we earn your trust.

Two Kinds of Products on Prism

Prism features two distinct product categories, and the financial relationship is different for each.

  1. Athletic Edge Originals

These are programs, memberships, and services created and operated by Athletic Edge itself — including Basic Membership, Essentials Membership, Virtual Combine, and Premium Full Service. When you purchase an Athletic Edge Original, you are buying directly from GTK Marketing, LLC (doing business as Athletic Edge). There is no third-party affiliate relationship. Athletic Edge keeps the full revenue and is fully responsible for delivering the product or service.

Athletic Edge Originals are clearly labeled with a gold “BY ATHLETIC EDGE” badge on every product card and detail page.

  1. Curated Picks (Third-Party Affiliate Products)

These are products and services from brands and retailers we trust and recommend — equipment, wearables, recovery tools, training programs, supplements, and similar gear from companies like (representative examples) Rogue Fitness, Whoop, Hyperice, Driveline Baseball, Rapsodo, Momentous, and others. Athletic Edge has no ownership or operational control over these products.

When you click the “Get Yours” button on a Curated Pick, you are redirected to the retailer’s website via an affiliate tracking link. If you complete a purchase, the retailer pays Athletic Edge a commission, typically ranging from 1% to 20% of the sale, depending on the brand and category. The retailer’s price to you is unchanged.

Curated Picks may display an “Edge Score” — a 1-to-100 internal rating reflecting our judgment of the product’s quality, value, and fit for serious athletes. The Edge Score is editorial; it is not influenced by commission rates. Products with no affiliate relationship can still receive Edge Scores and be recommended.

Affiliate Networks We Participate In

Athletic Edge participates in or intends to participate in the following affiliate programs and networks. This list will be updated as our partnerships evolve:

  • Amazon Associates Program
  • Impact (impact.com)
  • CJ Affiliate (Commission Junction)
  • ShareASale
  • Rakuten Advertising
  • Direct partnerships with select brands (Driveline Baseball, Momentous, and others)

We may add or remove networks at any time without notice. The presence of a brand on Prism does not necessarily mean we have an active affiliate relationship with that brand — we recommend products we believe in regardless of commission availability.

Editorial Independence

Athletic Edge maintains full editorial independence over what appears on Prism. Specifically:

  • Products are selected for Prism based on our assessment of quality, fit for serious athletes, and trustworthiness — not on commission rates.
  • We may recommend products with low or zero commissions if we believe they are the best option for our audience.
  • We may decline to recommend products with high commissions if we do not believe in them.
  • Edge Scores are determined editorially and are not adjusted in response to brand requests.
  • Brands cannot pay to be listed on Prism or to receive a higher Edge Score.

Sponsored content, paid placements, or other compensated arrangements (if any) will be clearly and conspicuously labeled as “Sponsored” or “Paid Partnership” so visitors can easily distinguish them from independently curated picks.

Discount Codes

Some Curated Picks display a discount code (for example, “EDGE15”). These codes are negotiated with the retailer to provide a benefit to Prism visitors. When you use such a code, you typically receive a discount and Athletic Edge may still receive a commission on the sale. Both parties benefit; you pay less than the standard retail price.

Discount codes are not a payment for placement. We do not increase Edge Scores or promote products solely because a discount code is available.

How to Avoid Affiliate Tracking

If you prefer to purchase from a retailer without contributing to Athletic Edge’s affiliate commission:

  • Do not click the “Get Yours” button on Prism.
  • Visit the retailer’s website directly by typing the URL into your browser.
  • Clear browser cookies before purchasing.
  • Use browser privacy modes or “Do Not Track” settings.

We respect your right to make this choice. Prism’s content remains free to access regardless of whether you purchase through our affiliate links.

Your Trust Is the Whole Business

Athletic Edge’s long-term value depends entirely on athletes, parents, and coaches trusting our recommendations. A short-term affiliate commission means nothing if our audience stops believing we recommend products honestly. We will always prioritize the recommendation over the commission.
